Energy Efficient Homes
Keith Carothers Homes are built to meet or exceed the energy efficiency requirements for VA loans, FHA loans, and local city and county code requirements. The homes we build all feature:
- Insulated doors
- Low-emissivity (low-E) glass
- Thermal pane windows
- 14 to 15 SEER rated heating and air conditioning units
- R38 blown attic insulation
- And foam around any voids that may allow heat movement.
Insulation
Through insulated doors and foam insulation, we will block any voids that may allow heat movement to ensure even temperatures throughout the house, reduced energy use, and increased comfort.
High Performance Windows
We will install energy-efficient thermal pane windows with low-emissivity (low-E) glass throughout your home to help keep heat in during the winter and out during the summer. They also block damaging UV rays from discoloring carpets and furnishings.
Efficient Heating and Cooling
Modern heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units operate more efficiently than ever, using less energy, reducing indoor humidity, and improving the overall comfort of your home.
About Our Homes
Cost
The price of your custom home depends on many factors, such as location, lot size, square footage, floor plan, and amenities included. We’ll work directly with you to find the right floor plan, location, and price to fit your budget.
Financing
While we don’t provide financing, we are happy to refer you to local lenders to finance your new home at very competitive rates.
Warranty
Keith Carothers Homes provides a full one-year builder warranty, a two-year warranty on systems in the home, and a ten-year warranty on the structural elements of the home. As a buyer, you will receive a warranty book explaining all coverage provided to you.

VA Approved Builder
Keith Carothers Homes is a registered VA builder. All Keith Carothers Homes are eligible for VA loan financing, as well as FHA financing.
Appliances
New homes include a smooth top, self-cleaning electric range, built-in dishwasher, built-in microwave/hood, and garbage disposal.
Yard
All Keith Carothers Homes are priced to include a lawn sprinkler system and sod. Your sprinkler system will be zoned and is equipped with a rain sensor so your yard will not be watered if it is raining.
Fence
A wood privacy fence can be installed for an additional charge per foot. This will be added to the price of your home.
